Sometimes the news is so sickeningly awful, so disgusting, so disheartening, I can’t even breathe.

These beautiful creatures who love their families with all their big hearts….
and love their babies just as much as we do…
who grieve when one of their family dies…
who remember and remember and remember…
who play like there’s no tomorrow…
who make best friends…
who love to make new friends….
These beautiful beings don’t deserve to be dog food. They deserve to be left alone to live out their elephant lives.
How is it possible we humans care SO LITTLE about life on earth we are willing to kill these majestic animals and turn them into dog food?
I cannot breathe.
