The Climate Museum in NY City officially opened in its temporary space in the Parsons School of Design on December 20, 2017 with two artists: Zaria Forman, who we’ve featured here before, and Peggy Weil.

In Human Time is about ice: Zaria Forman‘s beautiful large pastels give viewers a sense of awe at the scale of the ice that is melting away in the Arctic; Peggy Weil‘s installation is a four hour video into the Greenland ice sheet, capturing 400 years of ice.

Both installations bring time into our awareness: the slow process of building ice over centuries and millennia, and the urgency with which we need to act now for future generations as all that ice melts away because of the greenhouse gases we pump into the air every day.

Will we act in time?
