Nicky Bradford has written a brave and beautiful essay about her and her husband’s, Ben Joldersma, support of the #ShutItDown direct action that took place October 11, 2016. That action temporarily shut down all five of the tar sands pipelines coming into the US.
Nicky’s heartfelt essay is about our moral imperative to fight for climate justice and the need for all of us to be willing to put our bodies on the line to stop industrial civilization from killing the planet.
These activists are facing felony charges, and yet it is they who are doing the necessary work to save all our futures.
