This wonderful comic by Richard Monastersky and Nick Sousanis explains the history of climate change talks and our understanding of climate change and global warming, just in time for the upcoming UN COP21 Climate talks in Paris, which begin on November 29, 2015.

Dubbed the most important international meeting ever, countries will gather to try to agree to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Failure means that we and our future generations are doomed to planetary upheaval the likes of which we have never experienced – humans did not exist on this planet the last time CO2 levels were 400ppm.

Everyone should understand the importance of these meetings and of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Because everyone on this planet is affected. Whether you are interested in science, art, data, or just having a nice life… we need to find a way to teach everyone about climate change.
